Broccoli slaw with almonds, peapods, and sesame seeds

Broccoli Slaw is one of my summer staples. I could eat broccoli slaw salad for a month straight and never get sick of it. This recipe is very easy, nearly fat free, extremely low in calories, and impossible to screw up.
Start with some broccoli slaw. I am mixing mine up in a large coffee cup since I just want to make one small serving, to show you how easy it is.

Add some peapods. These are delicious, stringless, and super crispy. Yum!

Now add some almonds, sesame seeds, a splash of soy sauce, and a splash of vinegar. I am using balsamic vinegar today, but most kinds of vinegar work well with this. Stir it all together.

Variations on this recipe include using slivered or sliced almonds, adding a touch of oil or sugar, tiny tofu cubes, sliced onions, garlic, or red pepper. You can't go wrong with these flavor combinations. They all taste good together. When you’re done mixing, serve it on a pretty plate and enjoy.
