What does your dream vacation home look like?

As a kid I was always designing houses. I had notebooks of grid patterned paper to help me get the lines straight, and since it was the 80’s, my houses were heavy on octagonal shaped windows and sunken family rooms. Each house had at least five bedrooms, all with adjoining baths and walk in closets, balconies with French doors, and usually a few window seats where imaginary inhabitants could sit and read books.

I still love looking at house plans. My preference for Victorians has branched out to include modern homes, Craftsmans, and everything in between. Here are three homes, each with its own unique personality. I’d like one of each, please! If you were shopping for a vacation home, which of these three houses would you choose?

I would choose the a frame house. It seems like a great place to relax or have a party.
