Heloise’s Housekeeping Hints

I have been hanging on to this book for years.

Each time I “dejunk” it gets considered as an item to be eliminated, but I can never part with it.

The inside cover bears the signature of “Mrs. Spencer Carradine.” I can’t think of a fancier name. Perhaps I will use it in a novel someday.

Inside the book are countless tips, tricks, and recipes.

I guess it goes without saying that this book is back on the shelf in my kitchen where it will probably always live.

  1. LOL. I remember reading the “Hints from Heloise” column in the newspaper. One of the oddest hints I remember was (paraphrased) “don’t take off your mascara at night; just put another layer on the next day and your eyelashes will seem thicker.” Definitely keep the book!
