Holly Recommends…

I love this home!

A condo, part of a former warehouse, on Portland’s NW 13th avenue provides an excellent example of balance achieved through contrasts. Designer Jessica Helgerson started by painting the beams a dark grey and the walls a soft white then by adding soft grey upholstery, whisky toned woods and leathers, and heavy textiles, provided a perfect contrast to the exposed brick and concrete. One of the must-haves on the list was the inclusion of “Megatron” a huge flat screen t.v. that is a special part of the family. Helgerson masterfully balanced the huge black void created by the television by anchoring it with a custom made cabinet from antique Chinese doors and is framed in a lacquered box. Another stunning project.   pb
