Holly Recommends…

Eno Vino

As I mentioned here, one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to try new places. Last night we went to Eno Vino, courtesy of Bill’s generous co-workers who gave him a gift card for Christmas. I’d been there before but only for drinks, and I was happily surprised with our visit. It was swankier than I remembered. We had jeans on and I felt underdressed, which is next to impossible in Madison. The food and service were both excellent. Bill got chicken skewers and I got a vegetable flatbread. Bill loved the chicken skewers but wasn’t crazy about the pork wontons that came with them. My vegetable flatbread was really tasty with tons of mushrooms and red peppers. We split the addictive truffled fries and each had wine. For dessert we had the warm cinnamon chocolate fondue. Here is a link to the menu. The servings were large and resulted in plenty of food to take home. Over all, everything was delicious and the atmosphere is very grown sexy. Perhaps you could take your Valentine here for this special evening.

Eno Vino earns 4.5 out of 5 carrots on my 5 carrot scale. They would have received 5 whole carrots (and possibly even the elusive bonus radish) if not for a few minor snafus, like Bill have to ask twice for his drink. Highly recommended.
