Bill and I celebrated our anniversary last week at Lombardino’s. We’ve been going there for the past few years on our anniversary. Getting married in December seemed like a good idea, since we got married in Maui, but now every year we have to celebrate our anniversary in the frigid Wisconsin climate. Lombardino’s is the perfect cozy spot to escape on a winter evening. Usually Bill gets something meaty and I get pasta, but this year we both got pasta. Their food is always great.

I can tell how unexcited I am about winter, when the majority of the photos I’ve taken lately turn out to be an unintentional pictorial devoted to staying warm:
Summer/fall purse contents: dangly earrings, a bottle opener that looks like my dog, and three pairs of cheap sunglasses, along with many other great prizes.
Winter purse contents: a hat, bottle of generic Advil, Kleenexes, several kinds of industrial strength lotion.
Winter purse is terrible compared to summer/fall purse.
