Butterfly Bush

A couple months ago we picked up some perennials at a local greenhouse. Among our purchases were lavender and butterfly bushes, which, at the time that we purchased them, looked really similar: Small with purple flowers. Since we planted them, the lavender hasn’t changed much, but the butterfly bush has really thrived. It’s big, healthy, and definitely lives up to its name.

Here are some photos from today. There was also an orange butterfly hanging around it, but it flew away once I started taking pictures.
